Solved Google Chrome or Chromium Flickering on Ubuntu

Follow these simple steps:

1.Open terminal and just paste any of these two

“sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/google-chrome.desktop”   It  will open in gedit

or

“sudo nano /usr/share/applications/google-chrome.desktop”  It  will open in terminal itself

2. Scroll down to the line

 Exec=/usr/bin/google-chrome-stable %U

There will be many Exec lines but look for the one which ends with %U, generally the First Exec itself.

3. Now edit this line so that it looks like this

Exec=/usr/bin/google-chrome-stable –disable-gpu-driver-bug-workarounds –enable-native-gpu-memory-buffers %U

Restart or open chrome to see the changes
